Dan Mueller is EDF’s Director, Oil and Gas Exploration and Production with his efforts focused on evaluating and developing strategies for addressing water-specific environmental impacts of oil and gas upstream operations including well drilling and construction, well completions, and water and waste management. EDF is a science-based environmental advocacy group. Dan’s role at EDF includes managing research efforts to assist with identifying and addressing knowledge gaps that inform EDF policy positions.
Dan is a registered professional engineer with over 35 years of experience in the environmental field and holds degrees from the University of Texas in biology (B.S.) and civil engineering (B.S. and M.S.). Dan has been with EDF for about 5 years – prior to joining EDF, Dan worked as a consultant to private sector clients on issues related to water quality, water and wastewater treatment, and contaminant fate and transport.
