Mr. Phanse is a Technology Manager at Chevron Technology Ventures. He leads the efforts of CTV’s Emerging Materials and Water group to evaluate externally developed innovative technologies and integrate them within Chevron. Prior to his current role, Mr. Phanse was Joint Venture Manager responsible for the Chevron Phillips joint venture. He previously served various planning and long term strategy roles across Chevron’s Downstream (refining and marketing) organization.
Mr. Phanse has over 30 years of experience across the oil, gas and petrochemical industries. Prior to joining Chevron, Mr. Phanse was with ABB Lummus Global’s (now CB&I) technology group in various roles as a process engineer, technology manager and marketing manager. He also worked in India with Polyolefins Industries Limited as a Technical Service Manager.
Mr. Deane has spent the past two decades in the water industry with a focus on water resources, infrastructure development and general water investing. Prior to co-founding Water Asset Management LLC, he co-founded and held senior management positions as the President of Layne Water Development & Storage (a joint venture with Layne Christensen Company: LAYN:NASD) and as Senior Vice President of VidlerWater Company (a subsidiary of Pico Holdings: PICO:NASD). In 2011, Mr. Deane joined the Board of Advisors of the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions at Duke University. Mr. Deane began his professional career with Lazard in Paris and in London. Mr. Deane graduated from Duke University in 1982 and from I.N.S.E.A.D in 1985.
