Biography

Mr. Choules started his desalination career 38 years ago. Since then, he has worked around the world with industrial and municipal clients, in the areas of business development, permitting, start-up, commissioning, project management, and operating of water and waste water treatment technologies, including reverse osmosis and thermal desalination plants.

Water Cycle provides advisory, representation and project development services to the water sector. Prior to starting Water Cycle, Mr. Choules was Senior Vice President at Water Standard, a pioneer in water treatment for water-based IOR/EOR and produced water treatment/reuse. Prior to joining Water Standard, Mr. Choules served as a VP with Veolia where he led the development and execution of multiple projects in the industrial and municipal markets. Mr. Choules previously served as Weir Westgarth’s regional VP for the Americas, contracting and constructing multiple water treatment projects for offshore O&G facilities. His career also includes 19 years of experience providing support to more than 250 desalination installations and developing and executing some of the first successful membrane desalination plants in the Middle East.

Mr. Choules is the president of Texas Desalination Association and is Treasurer of the Caribbean Desalination Association.
