Biography

Zane Marshall is the Director of the Resources & Facilities Department of the Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) / Las Vegas Valley Water District (LVVWD), where he has worked for the past 23 years. A Las Vegas native, Zane leads four divisions that oversee land and environmental resources; implement environmental restoration and compliance programs; and, manage office and building infrastructure and fleet assets across both organizations. He is also responsible for climate change and sustainability programs.
Zane has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Environmental Studies, and a Masters of Arts in Science in Biology and Statistics from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He is also a 2014 graduate of the Kenan-Flagler Business School’s Water and Waste Water Leadership Center, and a 2015 graduate of the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Las Vegas Program.
Zane currently serves on the Advisory Board for UNLV’s College of Sciences and on the Board of Directors for the Alliance for Water Efficiency. He served as a National Park Service volunteer member of the Devils Hole Dive Team for over 12 years, and he served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve from 1990 to 1998. In 2007, Zane received UNLV’s Environmental Studies Outstanding Alumni Award for leadership, contributions and dedication to improve the environment.
